Early Years

At Hollington Primary School we focus on the development of children as individuals and providing them with the skills, knowledge and understanding they need to prepare them for the challenges in Key Stage One and beyond.

The EYFS is the start of our pupil’s school journey towards achieving this important purpose.  Our ethos in Early Years is to support children’s personal, social and emotional development so that they feel safe and secure and are ready to learn and develop a love of learning. We recognise that all children come into our setting with varied experiences. Through the seven areas of learning we provide topics that excite and inspire children, building on own interests and developing their experiences of the world around them.

Nursery Provision

Our nursery accepts both 15 hours and 30 hours universal funding during term time for children over 3 years. If your child is eligible for 30 hours you must provide the childcare code given to you when you applied for the 30 hours and must reconfirm your eligibility in the periods required for the funding to be paid. For those children not in receipt of 30 hours we do offer the option for children to attend for additional non funded hours which are currently charged by invoice to the parents / carers at a cost of £5.10 per hour. If you have any questions regarding nursery funding or invoiced hours please do contact the School Finance Team via the school office 01424 851783.
